If you are a parent or carer looking for adult counselling or parenting support for yourself, please read our criteria to access this support and then download the form at the end.

• We take support requests from non-abusive parents or carers with children / young people affected by sexual abuse.

• You must be a resident in the Somerset Council area (this includes the former districts of South Somerset, Mendip, Sedgemoor, Somerset West and Taunton).

• Your child or young person must be between the ages of 1-18 years.

• Sexual abuse has stopped.

• If there is court case date set then we can only offer counselling after the date/trial. If you have a police investigation we will need to contact your named police officer to check that we can offer you counselling.

• If a request for support for your child or young person is made whilst you access our service this will follow its own service procedure.

• Counselling only: If you have already had counselling via the Somerset Phoenix Project we will only be able to offer more counselling after 1 year has passed.
